Welcome to Show Controllers

Welcome to the Show Controllers blog!

On this blog I will discuss a variety of topics related to theatrical show control, specifically lighting. From projects and systems to concepts and specifications. Over the years I have found few resources actually talking about show control as anything more than a side effect of productions and programming, but I, and many others, see show control as a critical component of any modern production.

Posts will be regular, always at 10:30AM GMT, and will begin next week. Starting with two interesting topics:

  • The History of Stage Lighting
  • Why Organisation Matters

Over the coming weeks and months, these topics will be expanding into full series’s, and new topics will be introduced.
